George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Grill Takes Up Minimal Space
It converts from a stand or pedestal-based grill to a tabletop grill. And it takes no time at all for the conversion process.
The George Foreman GGR50B is both an indoor and outdoor grill.
Removable Grill Plates are quick and easy to clean
This, in turn, makes cleaning the grill a breeze, since you can wash them down and rinse off in any sink.
It’s always a good idea to ensure that you dry the grill before storing it until you’re ready to use it again.
Versatility and Functionality
While there are many different models of the George Foreman grill.
This one features a domed-top and designed to sit on a single pedestal, supported by a five-legged base.
The control plug is removable too. So, you don’t have to worry about damaging the electrical supply cable, which is a vital part of all-electric grills.
You disconnect the control and take it inside for storage.
How Many People Does The George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Grill Serve?
You get a full 240 square inches of circular grilling space. That’s enough to grill 15 individual servings at once.
So, serving a large family, or throwing a Backyard Birthday Party is never a problem on this indoor/outdoor grill.
It also has an adjustable temperature control with five different settings.
It sits on a probe-type of control that’s like the controls you see on electric frying pans.
Why Electric Grills Are Becoming Very Popular
Since it’s an electric system, there’s no requirement for propane, charcoal, or wood.
With a little common sense, you are safe to use this grill inside an apartment, loft, or on the balcony of a condominium, wherever you happen to live, and whatever the weather.
If it starts raining in the middle of your barbecue, no worries, simply pick up your outdoor grill and take it inside the house, shed, or garage. You can easily remove the grill stand if necessary. No more weather stress. How wonderful.

It is advisable to check with your local building association or ownership group that you are not violating any rules when using the George Foreman indoor outdoor electric grill.
This grill can cook all kinds of food. Including meats, seafood, vegetables, and kebabs – even desserts.

Since the Foreman ggr50b is an indoor/outdoor grill you’re not limited by changing weather which helps with meal planning.
Even when the evenings get a little chilly your family and guests can always cozy up around a glowing fire pit.
This will keep them all warm while waiting for their outstanding grilled meal in comfort.
On stormy days, remove the outdoor grill from its stand and bring it inside.
Place on your kitchen countertop, close to an electrical outlet, and fire it up.
Reduce Calories Automatically With Built-In Fat Drainage, How Fantastic Is That?
I love this. It features a sloping grill. (something George Foreman grills have become known for).
That allows much of the grease to drain into a drip pan.
So instead of consuming all that extra fat in your foods, you get the full flavor experience without the added pounds.
Grill without the guilt how wonderful.
Great for your waist-line and your heart too. Grilling doesn’t get any better than this.
It’s simple and straightforward to use because it’s a solid indoor/outdoor grill with a ribbed grill plate, a large cooking surface, and a temperature control knob.
There are no openings for oil or butter to drip down onto charcoal or briquettes.
Making it simple, fast, and easy to clean too.
The Secret To Perfectly Cooked Food
Once it reaches the correct temperature there will be an even heat distribution over the whole of the grill plate.
This is the secret to perfectly cooked food on the GGR50B outdoor grill, you can place your food anywhere on the cooking surface and get pretty much the same results.
You can choose from any of the five different heat settings. But you’ll get the most use out of the higher settings.
Say Adios To Propane and Charcoal
What we like most about George Foreman electric grills is:
- they need no charcoal or lighter fluid,
- no propane, or natural gas,
- and no flame of any kind.
It’s a lot less hassle than lugging propane tanks around.
Saves all that backache and they’re safe to use with any standard household electrical outlet.
Grilling doesn’t get any easier than this. Assembly takes mere minutes (unlike most barbecue grills).
Then! You plug in your George Foreman indoor outdoor electric grill, allowing the 240 square inches of grill plate to preheat for about 10 minutes before you add any food.
You can sear any food to get those nice grill marks making sure its well-cooked on the grill.
With the subtle slope built-in, it channels the excess fat and other liquids into the drip pan below the cooking surface. (George even thinks about our waistline). How’s about that.
I call this grilling and slimming at the same time.
Since it helps keep the heat inside to cook your food all around.
This model features a domed and vented lid, which allows more options while cooking.
Practical and Portable
The foreman ggr50b measures about 17 inches across in diameter. On a kitchen countertop, the grill itself sits about 6 inches above the counter.
On the stand, it’s about 31 inches off the ground. Most of the weight is in the grill itself.
The pedestal is not all that solid (at least it’s not as weighty as the grill). But it does provide a sturdy enough base to cook on. Be sure to place it on a flat surface for safety.
Connect Direct To An Outlet.
It’s always best to plug your appliance straight into an outlet.
If you must use an extension cord, make sure it’s a heavy-duty type extension cord.
It’s important to not get any moisture in the electrical connection.
Although this shouldn’t be an issue here since this grill plate is removable for cleaning.
Is The GGR50B Easy To Clean?
No worries here, cleaning this indoor/outdoor electric grill is quick and easy.
Hate Cleaning Grills? (I know I do) Here are a few tips I find helpful and I’m sure you will too.
Of course, before you do anything, you’ll want to make sure you’ve,
- Turned the grill off and it’s cool to touch.
- Place some tin foil in the drip pan before you start grilling and it will make it easy to clean.
- The grill plate itself has a double layer of the non-stick coating. You must be careful scrubbing, as you don’t want to damage the surface.
- Remove the grill and use a mild dish-washing detergent and hot water, a special nylon brush makes it easy to clean.
- Then rinse it off and dry completely before using it again.
Grill Cleanup Has Just Got A Whole Lot Easier.
Our recommended brush is from Grillaholics and comes with a lifetime warranty.
The Grillaholics porcelain safe Nylon Grill Brush with its 3-in-1 brush head design is able to clean your chrome grill grates up to 5 times faster than a traditional single head grill brush.
It cleans between the grates and leaves your grill clean and free of metal wire bristles.
The manufacturer claims this is the highest quality porcelain nylon grill brush on the market. And they back this up by giving you an incredible Lifetime Warranty.
(In our view, this is a must-have item on your list of necessary grilling tools.)
Or another option is the George Foreman grill sponges,
Double-sided cleaning action for scrubbing and wiping the Foreman Grill. These are special ribbed sponges, so you can clean up your grill surface without worrying about damaging the non-stick coating, comes with 6 sponges in a pack.
Sometimes, you may have to deal with stubborn stains that need soaking. But it’s no big deal for this George Foreman outdoor grill.
Take the time to take proper care of your indoor/outdoor grill. It will last much longer with fewer problems and you’ll get better value for your money.
It operates much like a stove, with numbered settings from one to five, with five being the hottest.
What Can I Cook On It?
This George Foreman Grill cooks beef, pork, chicken, and a variety of vegetables. Including corn on the cob.
It cooks fish particularly well and takes only about three to four minutes on each side, using a temperature setting of four, and you’ll get near-perfect fish every time.
As with all outdoor grills. The more the lid remains open, the more heat escapes and the cooler the temperature is for cooking.
That’s why it’s recommended you keep the lid closed. It helps keep the heat inside, as your food cooks and ensures that it remains moist.
